The Medina Church of Christ contributes to the support and operation of the Mid-Western Children's Home,4581 Long-Spurling Road, near Pleasant Plain, Ohio on a monthy basis.
An operation of the Churches of Christ, the home opened 30 years ago to serve 30 foster-care children. Each building on the grounds has live-in house parents, who care for six children.
The Children's Home also operates a school from preschool through grade 12. Most of the students are not foster children.
