The Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort Inc. was established in 1991. Along with its sister organization Healing Hands International, which supplies medicine and medical supplies all over the world, the Disaster Relief Effort seeks to do God's will to care for those who are hurting and are in need. Last year the Churches of Christ Relief Effort shipped a record $4.4 million in emergency food and supplies to thousands of disaster victims in 15 states.
Supplies are provided to local congregations in the disaster area for these victims. These supplies are obtained by the generous donations of Churches of Christ.
God continues to bless this operation with wonderful support from all over the nation. The Medina Church of Christ is very happy to be a supporter of this great work, holding to the words of Matthew 25:35, "For I was hungry and you gave me food".
